Fitness is Easy in Mission Viejo
Choices, choices…. join the Zumba, RIPPED, Turbo Kick, Jazzercise, Yoga, Bootcamp, TRX Suspension, Aqua Aerobics or other workout programs offered at our city facilities! I recently tried a few of the new classes added this past year and have a few things to share (find all classes by clicking here):
R.I.P.P.E.D is a class that has six components – Resistance, Intervals, Plyometrics, Power, Endurance, and Diet/Nutrition all packed into a class musically driven for every-BODY. Don’t let the name scare you; instructors can modify everything! Participants range from 12 to 92! Offered at Montanoso Monday and Wednesday at 5:45 am and 7:15 pm, Thursday at 6:00 pm, Friday at 4:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 7:05 am.
Bootcamp is a new high-intensity boot camp that has something for everyone with a different workout each time! Offered at Sierra Recreation Center each weekday at 5:30 am, Monday – Thursday at 6:30 pm, Saturday at 9:30 am, Sunday at 8:00 am.
Turbo Kick is a cardio kickboxing party with choreographed moves to great music that is high intensity, with low impact modification options. It is fun, fast paced and works up a sweat! Offered at Montanoso Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 pm.
Looking for something outdoors? Walk on over to the Norman P. Murray Community Center and the Village Greens where you can take a stroll, walk, or run, and workout on the outdoor equipment. You will find the equipment under the shade covers located along the walking path on the Village Green overlooking the Oso Creek Trail.
We also have great fitness facilities and choices with our two LA Fitness locations on Alicia as well as Crown Valley, 24 Hour Fitness just off Los Alisos and great choices of Yoga, Pilates, and Boxing studios and facilities.
Check out Nektar Juice Bar, near the Audi Mission Viejo dealership on Marguerite Pkwy, which is a new business and is a great way to kick off healthy eating!
