Bio

Wendy was born and raised near Buffalo, New York and moved to California 32 years ago. Her first exposure to Public Service was working at the town hall in her hometown community while in High School.   She has been involved in Public Service ever since, primarily in the private sector. Wendy was in the Finance Industry for several years, while attending Saddleback College. Wendy has worked in the Community Management industry since 1993 and is currently Vice-President of Business Development. During that time she gained extensive experience in the finance arena as a Senior Budget Analyst and in the Community Relations arena overseeing communications and monitoring legislation related to community associations.
Wendy has multiple certifications in the association management industry. She possesses national certifications through Community Associations Institute as an Association Management Specialist as well as a Certified Manager of Community Associations. In addition she earned the elite Professional Community Association Manager designation. Wendy served as President of the Orange County Regional Chapter of Community Associations Institute and is a Federal and State Delegate Member, and has served on the Executive Board, of the California Legislative Action Committee for Community Associations Institute.  She has received numerous chapter and national awards for her dedication and leadership in the community association industry.

Wendy currently serves as a Mission Viejo City Commissioner of the Community Services Commission. She is the immediate Past-Chair of the South Orange County Economic Coalition/Regional Chamber of Commerce. Wendy was the recipient of the Advocate of the Year Award presented at the 2011 SOCO Awards at the Regional Cities Ball due in large part to her extraordinary efforts in regional pro-business issues.  She serves on OC Supervisor Patricia Bates Annual Senior Summit Planning Committee.

Other Community and Civic organizations she has been involved in include: California Womens Leadership Association – Communications Chair, Past Treasurer; Capistrano Valley Federation of Republican Women, past Vice President, Ways & Means; Orange County Federation of Republican Women Board and Southern Division Student Advocacy Chair, Mission Viejo High School Football Boosters Vice President and the Aquatic Boosters past President, Mission Viejo High School Grad Night Past Committee Chair and she mentored the MVHS Republican Club. She has also been a regular volunteer in her children’s classrooms, at Mission Viejo Nadadores Swim Meets, at community events such as the Mission Viejo Red Ribbon Walk and the Oso Creek Cleanup.

Wendy has been a long time swimmer and was a member of the Mission Viejo Nadadores Masters Swim team. She resides in Mission Viejo with her husband Paul and son, and has a daughter and son-in-law who reside in Northern California. Paul, Wendy and their family are involved at Presbyterian Church of the Master in Mission Viejo.
